#103465 - using external prescaler Responding to: ???'s previous message |
You can't do it on a standard 8051 at the standard 12MHz. You need to add external components.
For fast counter, use an external prescaler. For inspiration, see Charles Bannister's counter (Hi Charles, did it progress?) at http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=102208 . For measuring a single pulse duration, use an external counter clocked by a fast crystal oscillator and gated by the pulse. Jan Waclawek |
