#104336 - Using loadcell?
Responding to: ???'s previous message

I think using commonly available loadcell and low cost ADC, it is difficult to achieve 1 in 100,000.

It may be possible if special loadcell (some manufacture their own)and temperature compensation.

We have optained 1 in 60,000 using CS5532AS ADC from Cirrus, but we need to specifiy sensitivity drift of more than 25PPM/one degree centigrade.

ADS1242 will not suit for high resolution It was conveyed to us by TI, we achieved in this 1 in 30,000.

The reason being ADS1242 use 2 order whereas CS5532AS use 4 order modulator providing better noise shaping.

Needless to say PCB design, amplifier design is very important.
