#104544 - Interfacing P89LPC920 with 5V logic. |
Hello,
I am designing a device that uses the P89LPC920. The inputs are 5V tolerant. I want to use an IO line for bi-directional communication. The voltage on this signal line is pulled up by a 10k resistor to 5V. The IO line on the P89LPC920 is an input when I get information from the other device or when the voltage on this signal line needs to be high. I set this IO pin to low and configure it as an output if the P89LPC920 needs to send a low signal to the other device. Can the P89LPC920 output buffer handle the 5V that is provided by the 10k resistor (as output)? And can the P89LPC920 make the signal low? Thanks in advance for your help. Kind regards, Mark |
