Too open ended. Is your 8255 memory mapped or what ? The rest is easy. The 8255 defaults to all ports set to read. If you can set up a bit pattern on say port A and read it back you are halfway there. Next you need to set the thing to all write or some combination there of. That means the mode control word is 80H
