#10557 - Not sure what maths routines to use? |
Hi
I'm a final year electronic eng. student. My project involves using an 8051 ucontroller (ADuC812). My problem is that I need to express three 12 bit values as ratios of each other in assembler. The values are in HEX. I need the division to produce decimal point type accuracy. Example of the problem 1B3H/104H = 1H (no decimal point) I'm not sure how to aproach the problem. whether to convert to decimal and then divide or maybe try something in binary. Any pointers would be appreciated. Regards Brian |
