Hi!
The registers are named as TCON for "Timer Control" and TMOD for "Timer Mode". TCON has all the control an status information for both timers, and TMOD indeed controls the way the timers run, that means it runs as a timer or a counter as described by TCON.2 bit. I suppose that is a typo in the tutorial, I request the concerned person to correct it. Girish |
