#109628 - I tend to fix hardware shortcomings with Responding to: ???'s previous message |
So you've never had to cover up other people's hardware shortcomings with software fixes? Must be nice.
I tend to fix hardware shortcomings with wire and software shortcomings with code. It is fairly easy to glue a DIP chip upside down on a PCB and wire to the legs, it's ugly, but it is cirrecting hardware with hardware. My most common "hardware fix" actually takes place outside the board. right at the connector on the side of the box, unsolder the wire, insert an inductor, solder the wire again. rik |
