I wonder really, why your knowledge of only three microcontrollers with HW-I2C you misguide to the wrong assumption, that also all others HW-I2C must be identical ?

It isn't !


Since Philips use already many different I2C on its 8051 derivates, then other manufacturers may have further I2C variants.
