Now, we may be in this blasted recurring issue of posters 'abbreviating' the device name.

If, indeed, the board contains one of the 3v3 'flavors' of the chip, you are right. Please do not refer to the photo, that could be a "lets put a chip in for the photo, we will get the right one next week", let the OP reply to this

Kake Man: (is that your real name?) WHAT IS THE ACTUAL (all the letters) chip on your devboard.

Tony, If, indeed, someone (non amateur) produces a devboard with the chip powered beyond Vcc max I will be flabbergasted. I have never used a futurlec devboard (I prefer Phytec) but have seen them referenced quite often, so my belief/hope is that, indeed the chip is the 5V version (M?)
