I have no experience of Tasking, but if they can't also offer you an evaluation or demo, doesn't that tell you something!?

Keil supports downloading, and has support for many monitors & ICEs.

Most chip vendors have some sort of demo board(s) and/or devkit(s) for their device(s).
The Keil website (and free CD) has details of very many devkits/demo boards.
