I've had to whittle up replacements for controllers and drives that use hard sectored format 8" floppies, for example, on very costly medical equipment. Those are a true pain in the gluteus maximus.
Old devices still do what the once did, and often just as well. If they cost a lot of $$$ it's often worth repairing/replacing things rather than buying a replacement costing 10x as much. RE |
