#118117 - Data size/speed
Responding to: ???'s previous message
The end application has two modes. In the simple mode it sends probably less than 32 bytes from the 8051 to the PC and could probably take a second or so to do it. The other mode has more data (not defined but I'm guessing about 6kbytes). Again a few seconds would be acceptable.

Still no word back on their security requirements but my interest has been piqued by Jan's AES128 and the comment "forget about public key stuff". I need to learn more. Thanks to all for the great discussion. I only need security such that someone couldn't cut the comm wires and eavesdrop. If they can hack into the PC, that's not my problem.
