#118312 - 8051 chip options |
I need some assistance with a chip selection. I am expanding capabilities of an existing product that my company has. It was based of an 8051 chip. I am finding that I am running out of code and data memory space. I have done some searching to see if I could find a chip that has expanded code space beyond 64KB and 4K-8K of RAM.
I found a couple of chips from Philips that would fit what I am looking for, but found that they are discontinuing those chips and are not recommending them for new designs. Does anyone know of any 8051 compatibly chips that has more than 64K code space and at least 4K of RAM. The RAM isn’t as important as the code space. Or, what other options can I look at to get around the 64K limit? Thanks for the help, Matt Barlage |
