#119838 - ADuC845: Changing ADC Channel slows down |
I'm trying to sample on multiple channels with the 24-bit ADC on the ADuC845, and I've noticed that the sampling rate will be considerably slower compared to the actual sampling rate I've set. Right now, I have the channel switching occur in the ADC ISR, and LabView receives the outgoing packets (which are sent immediately after the ADC ISR). What could be causing such a significant decrease in sampling rate? I'm talking about 3-4x slower than expected. The datasheet mentions that writing to ADC0CON will reset the ADCs, but I can't seem to find how long it takes to recover from the reset. In any case, it shouldn't be enough to slow down a 5 Hz sampling rate to 1 Hz. Any help is appreciated! |
