It will not be detected, generally speaking, unless the MCU code "looks" at it. Normally, the pin, on P1, P2, or P3, would have to be written to with a '1' before it is read. That provides a weak pullup and subsequently reflects the logical state of the pin when it is read by the MCU.
You could learn a great deal more about this by (1) reading the device-specific datasheet, and (2) by searching this website. Had you read the instructions on posting before you posted, you'd have known that query titles like yours are not very useful.
