Thank you sir for your reply. It is a requirement in this application to execute interrupt frequently(as time has to be incremented every millisec).And as stated by you 'hiden' steps are taking far too long.Then, wat is te way out to make microcontroller run faster?

Sir could interchanging the codes executed inside timer 0 and timer2 interrupts help?what is the priority of timer 2 interrupt in comparison to timer 0 and 1?
