#121015 - recommended / required ... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I don't really care. I require nothing of anyone in this regard and reserve myself the right not to help if someone did not even try to find the info in the datasheet.
But your subject "not recommended" seems to indicate to the shallow reader that the "config wizard" (my previous subject) is not recommended! Personally I don't check everything the config wizard generates against the datasheet. I just use it and only when I find a problem I start checking. And even then I start checking the contents of the SFR's at runtime against expected values from the datasheet. And if I find one I try to find where it was given the wrong value, which could be in the wizard generated code or anywhere else in my program. But don't get me wrong, I made myself very familiar with the datasheets. They open up your eyes about what's possible with a device and how to use it. |
