#121109 - Atmel design Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I've replaced the chip and it still didn't work. So, the only source of problem could be the JTAG. I've replaced the buffer IC, instead of 74VHC244, I put an SN74F244, and now it works!
What's amazing here is that 74VHC244 worked very well with AT89S8252. It will not be long before the cable has more errata (as usual, not published by Atmel) than their chips. Maybe some hacker could cut a link to 8052.com into the cable note at the Atmel site. Well, 'the cable' probably is not used by any volume users and since Atmel has decided to do the ISP support themselves there will not be much incentive to get it right. Erik |
