#121219 - re: Ask the designer
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Well this is the first time we are using this micro-controller. The data sheet says "16k Bytes FLASH; In-system programmable in 512-byte Sectors"

Hardware people do not understand programming that well. I have used Philips micro-controllers (89LPC952) before and they have programming the flash (individual bytes).

Check this on the 89LPC952 data sheet :
"8 kB byte-erasable flash code memory organized into 1 kB sectors and 64-byte pages.
Single-byte erasing allows any byte(s) to be used as non-volatile data storage."

Silabs does not have this feature.
