#121613 - Your time is appreciated
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Unfortunately, experience can not be shared through an occasional post, it takes daily interaction and review by the mentor.

You are total right Eric. I believe that everyone needs a mentor. That is one of the resons that I went looking for a group like this. My challenge is that I am the only software guy at my job, I believe that this the best source to really learn more. This is my first job as a programmer since I got out of school in '99. I started at the begining of Jan this year. While I have learned a lot in the last few months I know that I still have much more to learn.

Eric, you and Kai, Jan, Richard, Jon, and the rest of ther people that contribute to this list have a ton of great knowledge and experience that I you like to just get a piece of. While the majority of people that post in this forum are looking for the quick fix, I hope that you all do realize that there are people like myself that really do want to know the "why" and not just the "how".

P.S.
I am this Jon on this one. I think this could make a great FAQ.
