I finally found the doc's for the assembler. Contrary to what it says in the home-page writeup, the assemlber doc is in the doc folder in the installed package rather than in the source package.

This is probably just a case of "we'll update that info later" that was never "gotten around to."

I havent read it all yet, but I was surprised at what I found.
