Tie DE and /RE to one free port(pin).
While waiting message - pull down this port. When have message to be transmitted - pull up this port, wait a little bit (..5 nop's) , then start transmitting. When message is transmitted - pull down port again ( on some processors it is nasasary to wait some time, before pull down of port.) regards, Stefan |
