#12571 - RE: MOV A, ACC illegal instruction
This is a processor issue, not a compiler issue. I don't see why it would be an invalid instruction either. I wanted to try to answer that question, by studying the behavior of the processor under those conditions. I do have in my hands the "80C51 family programmer's guide and instruction set" from Philips which states that MOV A, ACC is not a valid instruction.
