#127272 - i am new
Responding to: ???'s previous message
1) I have worked with other uC's, the M68HC11 and the M68HC12 at school

2)This is the first 8051/8051 derivative I have worked with. I now have about 6 months experience with it

3) I have programmed the HC11/12 in both C and assembly

4) In terms of hardware that i used to download the program, I use a RS232 cable from a computer and a max232 chip to get the associated lines down to TTL level. I understand you may think there is something wrong with the hardware, but I am able to download and run programs on the uC.

5) I am using the wickenhaeuser programming suite available at http://www.wickenhaeuser.com/

6) I work at Disc-Go-Technologies (http://www.discgotech.com in Langley, B.C. We are in the business of making automated disc repair machines. The reason why I am asking my question (loading and running a program in FM1) is because i am experimenting with the possibility of updating software of machines that have already left the shop.

My goal in this mini project is to be able to send the customer a EEPROM chip containing the code of the new program, and for them to be able to update the software.

I graduated from B.C.I.T's (British Columbia Institute of Technology) Robotics and Automation program approximately 6 months ago so im still very fresh.

Anyways thanks for any help you could give me,
Roque
