#127352 - C8051F310 I2C bus interface |
I was going through the c8051f310 datasheet from Silabs and this is what the data sheet has to say:
"C8051F310/1 Family includes an SMBus/I2C interface" I know that there is timing difference between SMBus and I2C bus. How is it that the same 2 pins SDA and SCL work both as SMBus and I2C on C8051F310R? The datasheet says "The SMBus I/O interface is a two-wire, bi-directional serial bus. The SMBus is compliant with the System Management Bus Specification, version 1.1, and compatible with the I2C serial bus." This is somewhat confusing. I did go through the previous forum responses but did not find any reference to this issue. Thanks |
