#127358 - SMBFTE Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I went through the datasheet and found:
In the register SMB0CF: SMBus Clock/Configuration Bit2:SMBFTE: SMBus Free Timeout Detection Enable. When this bit is set to logic 1, the bus will be considered free if SCL and SDA remain high for more than 10 SMBus clock source periods. I am just using one device (a CODEC chip) which will be interfaced with the I2C bus. I know that "Timeouts are used to detect when a transfer has stalled or when the bus is free." By setting the SMBBFTE to 0 can't I use the SDA and SCL pins as I2C bus interface? |
