#127823 - That looks like a pretty standard signal set Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Unfortunately, it's not for a graphic LCD, but, rather, a character display. The signals have been rearranged, which is certainly the mfg's prerogative. My guess is that the first two signals are CHIP selects for the two controllers, the GND, VCC and VEE are pretty standard, though Vee is normally left off, since the Vbb (Pin 5) for the contrast setting is normally externally applied, D/I is RS, R/W is standard, as is E. The data bus is pretty obvious, too. I think I'd start with trying to make it work as a character display. If that doesn't work, then maybe it's worth exploring further. I wouldn't be surprised to find it's just a character display, though. If it doesn't behave as the common character display, then it will be apparent enough. It's probably a good idea to remember that one of these could have a custom character set.
This doesn't mean that you've got the wrong sort of device, but it's pretty similar in its signal set to what character LCD's use. It may be something else. For your sake, I hope it's what you want. Good luck! RE |
