#127861 - What "Interfacing"? Responding to: ???'s previous message |

Interfacing isnt a problem Quite possibly not, for the electrical & protocol "interfacing", but what about the physical (mechanical) "interface"? How can the tiny little SIMs be used practically? Jan mentioned POTS phone cards http://www.8052.com/forumchat/read.phtml?id=127781 but I guess they're the full-size (credit-card size) smart cards, which are designed to be frequently inserted & removed in readers. GSM SIMs (unless you have a source of the old "full-size" SIMs) sound a bit fiddly to me, and I don't see many sockets designed for quick & easy insertion & removal... And anyhow, it still leaves many questions unanswered: What purpose do you envisage that the SIMs will serve in this system? Do you have a source of suitable SIMs? |
