Hi everybody,

I want to have a device that supports 8 serial communication port. Using SCN2698 Octal UART, will I be able to simultaneously transmit and receive through all the eight UARTs ? If yes please can u let me know how?

I have already used SCN2681 DUART (half duplex) , but I use one UART at a time to communicate. Every time when there is transmition or reception, the microcontroller 8031 is interrupted to load the byte into respective buffers.

If I want to have 8 UARTs (half duplex) communicating simultaneously how will I be able to manage the eight interrupts to provide the necessary services?
