#129196 - Inductive loads and diode protection |
I am driving 5V 100 mA solenoid from a MOSFET and I was trying to figure out the best kickback diode. I am using a IRLML2502 MOSFET and a RB751V40T1 as the kick back diode. I am thinking the RB751V40T1 has a 500mA peak current even though it is only rated for 30 mA constant current. The solenoid has a decay time of 300ns. I am cramped for space on the board. Is this a good diode to use? |
