#129977 - Where to get 8051 chip for hobby use? |
I've used an Atmel 89C55WD chip in school and I'd like to get one or two to work on projects at home. My teacher used to always talk about getting stuff at Digikey, but that seems to be an industrial supplier more than a web store for the individual. Is there somewhere I can order this chip in small quantities? After searching around this forum I also found Mouser, but they also seem to be geared toward large companies. Do they sell single chips?
Also, I noticed that the exact model number of the chip we used is nowhere to be found on the Digikey site (there are some additional numbers and letters after the 89C55WD...), will I be ok with any 89C55WD or are there differences within that model that will break the code I've already written? Thanks. |
