#130415 - atomicity, multibyte variables, C and my comfort
To C-lovers, :-)

Is there any chance to get the (any) C-compiler "take care" of "non-atomicity" of multibyte variables, so that there is no need to juggle with interrupt enable?

Please don't discuss if this is or is not a politically correct approach :-) I am just interested in the "technical" side of the question.

Thanks,

Jan Waclawek (the C-hater)
