#130720 - No excuse here Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I can not count the number of posts that I have seen as to how to steal software.
If I, in some peoples eyes, overreact when a post 'smell' like stealing, I offer this 1) If someone post what looks like an attempt to steal (in this case 'official', which I am sure 99% of readres will read as 'full'), I will react and it will be the posters responsibility to clarify. If that need pisses the poster off, so be it. If I can prevent ONE case of thievery, and, in that process, piss 100 people off it is worth the trade off. 2) The "I did not want to steal" response has, in many cases, been proven to be pure bullshit, just averting the suspicion. 3) the "I want to steal" is bad, but even worse is "I will help you steal" since that will proliferate a method to do so due to the wonders of the www. As a professional developer I abhor any attempt to obtain 'free software' where the software is NOT free. If you want free software, get what is stated as being free e.g. SDCC. Erik |
