Ha! Ha!!
I saw YOUR code page and I think yours also stinks !

Yup, I'm glad I can get a rise out of you.

Now this 89C4051 we get in just a 1.00$ ! The programmer
for same one make at home for toatal $2.00 !! It connects to
PC serial port and does many wonderful things.

Neat-o. Maybe I'll look into it. I can find small SiLabs parts for a buck, too; depends on what features you want/need. But does the '4051 have built-in debug? If I have to spend $LARGE on an emulator, I say: No Way, NoHau! (That's a joke that's not very funny.)

So I think using 8pins data + 4 control pins is very outdated idea. Go and check that 2wire LCD interface on this site and then know how wonderful 4051 type device can be.

The SiLabs micros have two-wire (I2C/SPI) interfaces, too.

But you know what? LCDs with I2C interfaces, while a really cool idea, cost a LOT more than those with the old-skool parallel interface. Why spend $50 when you can spend $15?

It can be run very fast as 24Mhz clock as I am using or even faster now new AVR version is there 89LP4052 which can do 20 MIPs !!!

Big Fat Hairy Deal. SiLabs has a micro that does 100 MIPs. And who needs 100 MIPs to run an LCD, anyways?

I also hate people using C or basic for assembler. They are never looking at their total code space! Who bothers when one can always get upto 128KB device for coding laziness?

What makes you think that I don't look at my total code space? I hate people who tell me that they hate me for what I am or what I do. Go away, you fucking bigot.
