I have programmed the same code from an 'C51RD2BN to 'V51RD2 and if I remember correctly there was no changes required, or if it was, then it was very minor. I was told by the Philips (NXP) distributor here in India that the 'C51RD2BN is discontinued, but one of my old customers keeps getting these devices, I dont know from where, here is a date code from the chip: P89C51RD2BN 1G328100A3 AjG0615F 12Clk_(6clk) From the above marking from the chip it shows as if the batch was from 15th week year 2006. I would suggest that you change over to the 'V51 version since it is an enhanced version, it is also cheaper. Regards, John. |
