This is a good point concerning volume. The volumes for us will not be high. The concern was more about replacing the functionality. The Cygnal part is so far ahead (except for Triscend but their parts have no on-chip flash) that I worry about the possibility of having to replace the 8051 core with the same combination of on-chip features. The Cygnal part is different enough in its composition so that this is not easily done.
