#136676 - my board creates white noise. |
ok, The board works ok, but when I hook my homemade radio up to the same power supply, My radio receives white noise.
When I use the radio separately, it works perfectly. I have targeted most of the problem to the clock. The reason why I think that is it is because when reset is high, the interference stops. My clock circuit onboard now consists of a 3.6864 Mhz crystal and two 33pF capacitors connected from each end of the crystal to ground. (your typical crystal setup). I'm thinking of adding a resistor across the crystal to suppress the noise, or adding a resistor across each capacitor. what would you suggest? because I think the crystal is the source of the noise. |
