It looks to me as if you are referring to Half-Duplex communication. Not synchronous, as already pointed out by some. If I were to implement this, I would stick to UDP as it is less complex and not as demanding on CPU-resources. TCP gets quite complex and heavy for a 3-something MHz 8051. As for the lower levels, you will obviously need IP and PPP or SLIP. regards Patrick |
