#137416 - Is this all about 'running without a crystal'? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Another interseting point which came in this discussion is that -- is it possible to connect a resistance between xtal1(i.e xtal1 input pin of microcontroller) and xtal2(i.e xtal2 output pin of microcontroller).
where on earth did you get that idea from? Can we get an output frequency from xtal2 pin of controller without giving the input at xtal1? yes, if you attach a crystal and burden caps. Is this all about 'running without a crystal'? if so, look for chips capable of that (e.g. SILabs, Philips LPC) but if you do that be careful if you want serial comms Erik |
