The issue in mixing CMOS and TTL is fan-out and fan-in. A CMOS device can only drive very few (see data sheet) TTL devices, whereas a TLL device can drive a lot of CMOS devices.

As long as you are careful about CMOS driving TTL, you should not have any problems.
