Thanks, I am working with the manual. The LCD with the characters allready in ROM is known as a normal text display (that's how I understand it). Some of them also have extra RAM for user defined characters. The one that I'm using is a graphic LCD - the user writes direct to the device RAM and by so doing switch the corresponding pixels on/off, which is working fine. I got the patterns that I am using from sample code. I thought that maybe some one out there knows where to find other more fancy character patterns... Mark |
