Linux is available on a wide range of CPUs. I have seen Linux on ARM, SPARC, Hitachi and other CPUs as well. It is not "per definition a Unix clone to be run on a x86 processor". However, the lowers memory usage I have seen for Linux is around 4M or ROM and 8M or RAM, so an 8052 is hardly usable. Jesper |
