#138365 - More information needed Eg Distance
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Is the I2C device on the same PCB as the 80c51 core or is the I2c "off-board"? How far off-board?

Is the development - powered by battery or by AC adapter?

Is the 80c51 device 3v or 5v? Eg are you using a 3v or 5V system?

What is the expected operating temperature range of the development?

DO you have any vibration limits / requirements?

In general terms (not specifics) what will your application do?

Which 80c51 core are you looking at? Does it have I2c hardware peripheral(s) on board.

What is the intended speed of the I2C bus?

** When we know answers to these questions.... it will be easier to give you suggestions **

In the mean time you can download the NXP I2C Manual from here

Other NXP I2C Support documents are available here for download.
