Besides, with care, the T1 can be time-shared between being the 1s timer and baudrate generator. With moderate baudrates, even simultaneous action can be envisioned. Gurus can also attempt to time the 1s by transmitting continouosly... :-)
Even if T1 is free to use for the 1s timer, the devil is in the details. For example, what happens if both ISRs fire at the same time (and it's end of the 1s interval)? JW |
