yes, all NXP LPCs have it and I am sure it is not restricted to those The X2 pin is generally (I expect there are exceptions) the output from the oscillator. yes, the stupid SILabs deviates (f3x - up) have the output on XTAL1. re the original question: I doubt the recent Atmel emissions can handle any load, there has been posts about how weak the oscillator is.
