Yes, I tend only to think of GPRS in the context most of us see it used (i.e. via our mobile phones via the usual service providers) which is of course wrong, but it works for me ;-).
The advantage of the solution I have suggested is that it can work with 'normal web-access type GPRS services' (for want of a better expression) so that you have a wider choice of tariffs and network coverage than you may otherwise have with a specialized M2M service. Then again, there's nothing to say an M2M-specific service may not suffice for your application Vinay. Matt. |
