Once I measured the asymmetry between one bit wide "mark" and "space" in a what I consider a standard setup: onboard UART (in a fairly common Winbond superIO IC), 75232 as the level converter in PC, a common ~2m serial cable, MAX232 on the other side, loaded by a '51. The assymmetry was around 0.3us. That's around 3.5% of a bit time at 115200 Baud. JW |
