There are differences between the P89C51 and P89V51.
The NXP Technical note describes the differences http://www.standardics.nxp.com/support/d...n06007.pdf *********** Search this 8052 Message board and you will find more details. *********** I have converted quite a few programs from P89C to P89V micro's. Watchdog is one of the main hardware differences. Suggested you also compare the data sheets directly. PARALLEL PROGRAMMING ====================== Also whats NOT mentioned for parallel programming for the P89V - is there are some selection options in the programming that are critical.... IE do not erase Block1 (where the bootcode is) [block0 is your main user code, from 0x0000]. Check for 6clock or 12clock operation.
