#142638 - thanks to all Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Thanks to all for support and ideas.
Parts arrived (I don't know which of the channel worked out first - we tried more - we even received samples directly from one manufacturer without asking for them) and boards are already populated, we will perform the initial smoke test today afternoon. Lesson learned: 1. don't design in parts without checking bulk and prototype-amount availability; even if these are just stupid resistors 2. if you design SMD resistor packs, use the 8-pin 4R arrangement (in the "1206" package) even for pullup/pulldown (connecting one row of pins together) - these are the most commonly available types, and for prototyping and similar purposes they can be excavated from PC motherboards.
