I agree readability can be improved using informative "phrase_names" for labels.

A proviso; some labels similar to "door_flag" make great sense if they evaluate sensibly as "TRUE or FALSE", that is, in response to the question: "IS THIS A DOOR?" the flag is either true or false and is expressive enough.
